Val Dowland

February was definately an eventful month for the Dowland Family. Most important of all, our sweet Emilie Loto turned one year old! We had so much fun celebrating her birthday! We went to lunch and went birthday shopping had a doctor's appointment where Emmie weighed in at 18 lbs. 3 oz. and 28.5 inches long. We topped off the night with a cake dive! Emmie was a little too dainty to get more than her finger into it. But she did enjoy the freedom of being able to indulge herself with as much frosting as she pleased! Emmie also experienced her first day at the Bowling Alley. She was a definite pro! Jared started a new job working with my Dad as a loan officer. He is really excited. He has been working hard with school and trying to stay caught up with his online classes - - a procrastinators worst nightmare! Lacrosse season has officially started, so we have practices and games almost every day of the week. We enjoyed the snow together at the beginning of the month because we got to ride the four wheelers around . . . but even that has lost its appeal as we get glimpses of sunshine and warmth. My accomplishment this month was that I finally finished scrapbooking through high school! (Thanks to all of you who supplied needed information for dances and events!) We had fun with our craft night. I was sick over Valentine's, so that was a bit of a dud of a day. But, Jared was an angel and made every effort to help me feel better. We enjoyed seeing all of you at the birthday dinner, and missed those of you who couldn't make it. Life is wonderful! We all have Spring Fever. I will be running the Moab half-marathon on March 8, so tune in next month for pictures of me in a muddled, exhausted heap! Love you all,Val, Jared and Emmie
